Geekbench is the synthetic benchmark that is most frequently quotes by Mac followers but it is deeply flawed. There could be 4-6 synthetic benchmarks and a suite of actual games, between 8 to 15 games. The serious PC hardware testers usually compare GPUs with a battery of tests, both synthetic benchmarks (like 3DMark Time Spy and 3DMark Port Royal) and actual games - recent titles with demanding graphics.
